Why if you suffered make others suffer?

I remember a lot Anti-antisemitism as well as anti-black comments growing up on Long Island. My father was an Irish-Catholic living in Protestant Scotland that is why he came to this country where he hoped there would be a little less prejudice and always said don’t put anyone else down for you could be next. I don’t understand people who came from ancestors that suffered prejudice could turn around and do it to others.

Who is smart and who isn’t

I know that history is filled with what really big thinkers have said about this subject for thousands of years so I think it is time for someone who just wishes they could be as smart gave their thoughts of what makes someone smart and what the hell is smart anyway.

The more education one gets the more facts that are thrown at him/her, some are able to use those facts and learn from the mistakes of those that came before us. They advance the Society they live in through their talents There are others that go through the higher education system to become doctors and even run for president of the USA, but when the talk about history or the bible they get facts that a grade school student knows is wrong. So my guess is that facts are useless without reasoning power. You have to use logical reasoning power to know which fact are probably true and which are probably false. It seems that some people have reasoning power and some don’t which brings up the question are people born with Logical Reasoning Power or is it learned as they grow up?

50 years later Selma march Continues

In 1965 I was in the US Army at Fort Benning Georgia where they were suddenly giving us riot training and in March of that year they woke us up early in the morning and load us up on trucks with barbwire on the front of it. We never went anywhere, but I was always wondered what that was all about. Now I realize that it must have been the march on Selma.

Even with all the reforms that have happen since 1965 and the improvement in communications people seem more misinformed than ever. Civil right leaders of today are hated not only in the south, in the whole country.  People just asking for justice for  blacks are called all sort of names it can only be hoped that future generations will be more educated so has to change the culture of this and many other countries.

Obama's Selma speech was his best ever, if only people would listen. It should be replayed just before November 2016 so people who tend not to vote therefore giving their power away maybe will listen to him and vote.

Brian William’s War story

A lot of people especially Vets seen to be upset that he exaggerated his story to sound like the helicopter that he was in was hit by ground fire when it was the helicopter in front on him.  Now I don’t care if he was shot at or not, but it seem a lot who served do, but what I remember from my time in the service is that some soldiers were exaggerating even before they left the service. Now I am sure once they left they turned honest about their service.

If as Brain said they were flying in formation wasn’t the people on the ground shooting at all the helicopters, but just hit one so his story isn’t that far off. Why is such hate for a mere broadcaster? Maybe they are just needed a new person for their hate, the hate of the month.
